About SCC

I hand create custom knive handles/scales, knife backspacers, acid & stone wash/blackwash blades/liners/framelocks, mirror edge sharpening, custom kydex gun holsters, kydex mag carriers, flashlight carriers, knife sheaths, and kydex knife carriers.

This is how and why I got started. My first kydex holster was a Raven Concealment holster. Many people recommend them and so I tried them. They make a great holster. It quickly became my favorite Holster even though i had a few issues with it; mainly adjustability, size, color choice, wait times. Over the years I tried other peoples holsters to see if they fixed the issues i had, and found them to not be as refined as the Raven. After wearing Ravens for years I finally decided to try making a custom holster and see if i could solve my issues myself. I am pleased with my results so far and I have made myself a lot of holsters. Everyone I show compliments me on the craftsmanship and I end up making them a holster (most of them have lots of gun experience and have lots of holsters laying around that they don't use, lol). So I thought about making them for more people.

I wanted to tweak and improve on an already great design. I agree that functionality is my #1 when making my holsters. I improved on the design by allowing full grip on the weapon when unholstering, yet keep the full sweat shield. The holster I made is on the right.

I also make/use owb loops that allow more personal adjustment for ride height and different cant.
I also feel that comfort should also be just as important as functionality. If you are not comfortable wearing it, you will stop wearing it. I found myself getting caught on the side bolsters of my car seats when entering the vehicle with most holsters and a lot of holsters would snag and catch on my clothing. I then set out to improve the fit, finish, and refinement of the holster. I did this by rounding the corners to improve entering the vehicle. I improved the fit and finish to keep cloths from snagging to allow quick weapon draw. While most people find that black and one color tan may be enough for them, I did not. Black doesn't match with khakis. I wear mostly khakis and most khaki colors don't match even if called the same color name. I made a desert tan camo to match and conceal better with all the different tan cloths I wear. I found that not only does it conceal better but it also hides the definition of the weapon making it not stand out so much. I like how it doesn't show the outline of the weapon I carry.

I believe that a holster should not only try to match the but but also match the pants/jeans/khakis people and shirts/sweaters/coats that we wear. Hence why I offer so many colors and camo colors.

I am always open on hearing new ideas on different ways to make the holster more functional and comfortable for everyone. I will always appreciate constructive criticism

I was asked a good question earlier about the type of parts I use and i thought i would add the answer in here. I use all steel Chicago screws and professional grade rivets. I use 0.080 kydex to make the gun holsters. For the mag holsters I use 0.060 kydex. I use kydex made kydex. I don't use cheap parts. I like my things to last a Long time, so that's how I build them.

I try to offer these rigs at fair price with fast turnaround time.
